  James Pegg

James and his wife moved to Yorkshire in 2011, and he has been principal dentist at James Pegg Dentistry since 2016. Prior to that he was a partner in a high profile private practice in Reading, Berkshire. He qualified in 1988 from The University of London after five years of study at Guy’s Hospital Dental School, and also gained a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol in 1999 after 3 years’ part-time study in Periodontology, Oral Surgery, and Bridgework. During his time in practice he has developed a special interest in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry whilst maintaining a commitment to minimally invasive dentistry. He enjoys helping his patients to find long-lasting solutions to their dental problems, from the smallest filling right through to the most complex and advanced re-constructive restorative dentistry. He also makes sure there is time every day to see emergency patients, and is always delighted to welcome new patients to the practice whether it be for an emergency or a routine appointment.

James ensures his knowledge and skills remain contemporary by on-going postgraduate study, and by membership of several professional organisations. He is a member of the following societies:

British Society for the Study of Prosthodontics

When James is not at work he is a keen motorcyclist and photographer, and he and his wife enjoy travelling – both at home and abroad. Most special however is the time they get to spend with their three grandchildren, James, George and Florence.

  Federico Moreno

Dr. Federico Moreno received his degree in Dentistry in 2009 from the European University of Madrid, Spain.

From 2009 until September 2012 he worked as a general dentist in mixed NHS and private practices in the Lancashire region. During this period he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry at the Trafford General Hospital, Manchester, directed by Prof.Cemal Ucer from the University of Salford. Dr.Moreno has a keen interest in dental research and managed to publish a number of articles in international dental journals. From a very early stage, Dr. Moreno was fascinated with the complexity of gum disease and was clear he wanted to pursue his passion enrolling in a full time specialist training program. In 2012 he was accepted in the 3-year Periodontology course in the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London. The Eastman MClinDent(Periodontology) program is one of the 11 european periodontology programs, and the only one in UK, that is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). After graduating, besides working as a specialist periodontist he dedicated part of his time as an Honorary clinical supervisor and Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow for the MclinDent specialist trainees in Periodontogy at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. Most recently, he has been appointed as a Clinical lecturer at the same institution where he will also carry cutting edge research investigating the use of stem cells for periodontal regeneration as part of his PhD project. Federico welcomes referrals for all aspects of periodontal care and dental implant placement alone or in combination with grafting procedures. Outside dentistry, Federico enjoys cycling and playing football as well as attending many of the social and professional events available in London!

  Debbie Fawcett

Reception Manager

Debbie joined the team at James Pegg Dentistry in April 2022, to job-share with Linda Casey as Reception Manager. She has worked in dentistry for more than 20 years, having started her career as a dental nurse.

Debbie enjoys all aspects of her job, in particular meeting new patients and making patients feel welcome and comfortable at the practice. Her considerable knowledge and experience in dentistry means she is ideally suited to help with queries patients may have about any aspects of dental care or dentistry in general.

Away from the practice Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and on travel.

  Linda Casey

Reception Manager

Linda has gained over 22 years’ experience in a reception role, including some experience as a Practice Manager, across 2 dental practices in Leeds. Following a move to York in late 2021, she was happy to join the reception team at James Pegg Dentistry, alongside her friend and colleague Debbie, in March/April 2022. Patient care is very important to Linda and she enjoys the relationships she is able to build with all of her patients, hoping her experience, knowledge and approachable and reassuring attitude help to make for a pleasant dental experience.

Away from the practice Linda loves time with family and friends; especially her 2 young granddaughters and has a passion for gardening and home makeovers.
